Hello, welcome to another installment of Ambition's Cost. This week I have recorded videos of a Bant deck similar to the list that was victorious in Providence (still can't believe a deck without Force of Will won, but its great news for those without the powerful counterspell). Next week I will post videos of another non-budget deck I have been tinkering with, and after that will resume articles featuring new budget decks. Enjoy!
Here is the list that won the Grand Prix:
GP Providence Bant
Finished 1st at GP Providence Piloted by James Rynkiewicz
Qasali Pridemages keep him from going off both of these games, and the one chance he has to go off (while he has 2 Aluren and I only have one mana untapped), he is unable to go off.
Game 3 vs. Elves: While he plays his guys, I curve out into a turn 3 Mirran Crusader into turn 4 Umezawa's Jitte plus equip and swing into turn 5 use the Jitte counters to pump Mirran Crusader to lethal.
Sideboarding: I made no sideboarding changes for this Elves list as it was not combo based, but normally 4 Ethersworn Canonists should be brought in for a Rhox War Monk, a Spell Pierce, and the two Tops.
Hive Mind Game 3: He show and tells an Emrakul on turn 3 but I have a Knight of the Reliquary to put into play that fetches up Karakas to bounce the Emrakul. An Ethersworn Canonist the next turn seals the deal as I attack with Knight of the Reliquary the next few turns with him unable to go off.
This week's pick is Mirran Crusader. This card can be used in Junk, B/W, and Bant lists and pairs very well with Stoneforge Mystic. Any sword or an Umezawa's Jitte on a Crusader will make quick work of the opponent. The card also tangles with Tarmogoyfs and Batterskulls all day long.
Thanks for watching and reading. I hope you enjoyed this article.
you know...you would think since i sat there and watched all the videos that i would have realized that...though i had also just woken up. So combine being half awake and extreme giddiness over the banning of SfM, yeah i goofed.
No description of what the deck does or how it attacks the format, and no audio on any of the games (I'm not getting anything at least)? This is pretty inaccessible to format newbs (like, say, me) and that really shouldn't be the case when you are featuring one of the relatively few "budget"(ish) legacy archetypes!
There’s way too much happening here, so, I have to go through a little more to figure where the goof is. I’m sleepy now, so will get back in a bit.
The specific onlineaustralia this can be the most effective that now there is for bj also, the internet site sounds make you feel that you are bet ting inside of a actual one.

well i mean its valid for 9 days...
I dont understand, the bannings only affected standard, not legacy

Careful you might end up being me. :/
Don't worry. The 'War of Attrition' event deck is still legal in Legacy if you keep it intact out of the box. ;)
