I've been extremely negligent in regards to Magic Online recently.  It is actually not the clients fault.  It is not because I dislike my job. (I love them, and I love writing!)  It is because I am not as interested in Magic now as I was a few weeks ago.  Why is that?  Standard is great, I really enjoy any format where I get to play Whip of Erebos, Ashen Rider and Sidisi, Brood Tyrant in the same deck.  It's pretty exciting!  The Khans limited format is very rich, while I may draft the same decks time and time again, it's because that is what I am comfortable with, and I'm risk adverse.  If I am playing in an 8-4, as I have started to do, I do not want to experiment there and lose my packs and tickets.

So why am I "apathetic" towards Magic right now?

I had family come in from out of state, and it was nice to see them for a bit.  That took time.  I had Cassius for the weekend, that took time, but the biggest time sink I have the new World of Warcraft expansion.  It's taken more of my time than I would care to admit.  That has cut down on my Magic time by a fair amount.

I still found the time to draft though, so let's take a look at my next 8-4.  I'm getting really comfortable with Khans now, so we'll do a few more of these and jump in to holiday formats when they start up!

Here is the video of the draft:

Well that seemed like a fairly straight forward Abzan deck.  I kinda liked it, it felt a little slow, but if I could get to my powerful cards I would be in great shape.  Sadly I only got to play in one round.  It's not for the reason you all think though.  I won my first round because my opponent decided that playing Magic was not a thing they were in the mood to do.  Well that or something came up, but they never came to the game.

You can see my second round here:

And after the second round my opponent offered me the split, I gladly accepted it, and figured 6 packs was better than 4.  Since I am not chasing Qualifier Points right now, I let my opponent have it, went about with the rest of my day.

Come back next week for another draft!  I hope you all enjoyed this one!
