Dechteck

Hopefully you watched the decktech. But in case you didn't, you will notice during the matches that I just cut the Empty the Warrens with Bushwhacker combo all together. The Empty combo just is so easily faulted by Echoing Decay and Truth, SandStorm, Seismic Shudder, all very popular sideboard cards.

There are maybe 2 answers in the entire format for the Grapeshot kill. Those answers being Prismatic Strands and Benevolent Unicorn. In the sideboard I have 3 Vapor snag because its 1 cheaper than Echoing Truth and the White Weenie player will usually not have more than 1 Unicorn out at a time.

Match 1 – Delver Blue

This match is actually very tricky. With Gitaxian Probe, they will always know what you are doing and what to specifically counter, while at the same time, they have Phantasmal Bears and Cloud of faeries beating you down for 3 or Sometimes 4 a turn, which doesn't give you much time. But there is a flaw, because Delver Blue such little lands, they usually get stuck on 4, making it hard to play enough counters for your things. You will see, I believe in game 2, what I mean but not having enough mana.

Match 2 – Mono U Cloudpost

This match is actually very annoying. Because they can generate so much mana, they can play so many counterspells in 1 turn. But TEPS can also just win anyway. Disregard game 1, I have no Idea why he scooped when he did. But G2 is a perfect example of just how stupid and overpowered this deck is and can be.

Match 3 – Mono Black Control

This is your worst matchup and is actually very hard to win. They have infinite discard spells, and if they have an Okiba-Gang Shinobi, you pretty much just can't win, while having to discard 2 cards a hand and taking 3 or sometimes 5 a turn. If you haven't discarded a Deep Analysis and are able to go off after 1, maybe 2 hits, then you usually just lose.

Final Thoughts and Cards I thought about

I think this deck is just too powerful. Actually to be honest, Grapeshot is just too powerful. If this deck didn't have Grapeshot, I highly doubt people would win with it as much. That being said, there are ways to beat this deck. 1 of those ways is Hindering Touch, though this card does not just straight up, give you the win. It will stop one of the the Grapeshots, which is usually what wins you the game. But the other Grapeshot or sometimes 2 will win them the game.

1 card I thought about was Reclaim, but the problem with this card is that you have to have another card that you draws you a card. That's not hard to do in this deck, but none the less it might not be needed.

I hope you guys enjoyed this week and I'll see you guys in the next 7!
