As much as I like to complain when the Magic Online team makes one of their infamous bad decisions, I'm more than happy to congratulate them when the occasion calls for it. Case in point: starting with Amonkhet, sets come to Magic online immediately following the paper prerelease.

This is frankly a dream come true for me, one that if you told me three years ago would eventually happen I'd have thought you were out of your mind. Yet here we are.

To top that off, what little experience I've had drafting Amonkhet points to a much more interesting format than triple Kaladesh. Yes, it seems to be quite fast, but not don't-play-a-creature-turn-two-and-you-lose fast.

Early favorite archetypes of mine have been white-black zombies (especially if you happen to get three copies of (Binding Mummy) somehow) and green-black cartouches/trials. Today, however, I bring you a color combination that has constantly stood out for me in recent blocks: blue-red. Let's get to it!

That's all I got for today, but given how much fun I've been having, rest assured there's more coming soon. The fact I finally finished The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also means I have much more free gaming time right now, so it seems I'm in for much more MTGO-heavy days.

Thanks for reading/watching, and see you soon.

Ah! I was expecting your Modern Masters videos, and you were playing Zelda instead? :)

Ha, that's exactly it. I drafted it a couple times, enjoyed it, but didn't play enough to get a real grasp on the format and record it. I even have a couple of MM packs left on my account that I couldn't find the time to draft with. Hopefully they'll be back at some point!
