  Pack 1 pick 1:

With Black Lotus in the pack, I don't have any other choice.

  My Pick:

  Pack 1 pick 2:

Nothing for a combo deck so I just took one of the monored cards.

  My Pick:

  Pack 1 pick 3:

No red cards here but other than Necro there's also nothing for combo. Pretty weak pack so I took Forgemaster which can be pretty good in the artifacts deck.

  My Pick:

  Pack 1 pick 4:

Eidolon is great.

  My Pick:

  Pack 1 pick 5:

I think Fireblast is a good sign that red is open.

  My Pick:

  Pack 1 pick 6:

Very happy getting Guide here.

  My Pick:

  Pack 1 pick 7:

Close pick. I like having cards like Vandal but there's still time to get those so I opted for Volley.

  My Pick:

  Pack 1 pick 8:

Kavu can be good in the right match up but Char is better in the maindeck.

  My Pick:

  Pack 1 pick 9:

  Pack 1 pick 10:

Very happy that no one took this.

  Pack 2 pick 1:

Disappointing pick.

  My Pick:

  Pack 2 pick 2:

Firebolt is nice but Hellrider is one of a kind.

  My Pick:

  Pack 2 pick 3:

Shrine was certainly the pick as I already had two 4 drops but I took Hero.

  My Pick:

  Pack 2 pick 4:

I don't need more 4 drops and Roast is similar to Mortars. Skullclamp can be great, especially if I get Young Pyromancer.

  My Pick:

  Pack 2 pick 5:

  My Pick:

  Pack 2 pick 6:

Magma Jet is nice but a 3/2 for two is better.

  My Pick:

  Pack 2 pick 7:

  Pack 2 pick 8:

I don't need Hellkite but Incinerate would be nice. However, Figure is really powerful.

I don't know why I didn't take Shrine. Maybe it's a promo version and I didn't notice it was Shrine but it was obviously the pick.

  Pack 3 pick 1:

It feels bad taking a 2/1 over a draw 7 but it's the right pick for the deck and it's nice to have something that destroys artifacts in the maindeck.

  My Pick:

  Pack 3 pick 2:

  Pack 3 pick 3:

In my opinion, Bonfire is pretty bad in cube. The card is only good as a miracle and not every deck has creatures. Not to mention it has to be a miracle at the right time, not too soon and not too late. I took Reckoner but Revoker would have been fine as well.

  My Pick:

  Pack 3 pick 4:

  Pack 3 pick 5:

I'd rather have access to Lavamancer than another 3 damage for 2 mana spell.

  My Pick:

  Pack 3 pick 6:

Very happy to get this as it helps Skullclamp.

  My Pick:

  Pack 3 pick 7:

  My Pick:

  Pack 3 pick 8:

Another 2 powered creature for one mana or a very good Sword that even allows me to win games where my opponent gains a lot of life? I think it's close but I opted for the equipment.

This is what I submitted:

M1G1:

I started with Firedrinker Satyr and attacked for 3 on turn 2. They had a Llanowar Elves on their second turn but I had Firebolt for it and Cackler as well. They dropped Edric and I killed it and attacked for 4. They play Basalt Monolith but I drew my forth land, played Hellrider and they conceded.

M1G2:

There was a problem with the replay for this one but it was a fast win, similar to game 1.

M2G1:

I had Skullclamp and they had Treespeaker. When they tried to level it up I killed it. I dropped Boros Reckoner but they had Song of the Dryads. I played Koth, Figure and attacked with a Mountain. they played Oracle of Mul Daya. I activated Figure, equipped Skullclamp and attacked with Mountain and Figure. They didn't block and I used Volley to kill their guy. They played Garruk Relentless and made a Wolf. I ultimated Koth, killed the token and took down the planeswalker. They conceded on their turn.

M2G2:

I had Satyr into Eidolon and they responded with Worn Powerstone. I played Mauler and paired it to attack them down to 10. They played Consecrated Sphinx and I attacked with everything. They blocked Eidolon and I pumped Satyr twice. They played Relic, Signet and Spellskite. I played and equipped Sword and they had to chump block with the 0/4. They had Indrik Stomphowler to deal with the Sword and Song for Mauler but I had burn spells to finish the game.

M3G1:

I went to 6 and kept a good hand with Goblin Guide on turn 1. They had Dreadbore and I played Torch Fiend, followed by Reckoner. They used Electrolyze to kill my 2/1 at my end step and cast Top plus Hymn to Tourach on their turn. This left me with Hellrider in hand but I drew a land so I attacked for 8. They Brainstormed and activated Top but all they found was Disfigure to survive at 2 life. They managed a mini Tendrils but it wasn't enough to buy them another turn.

M4G2:

I started with Goblin Guide again but they had Electrolyze to kill it thank to a Mox. I followed with Eidolon and they had Ashiok. I attacked and added Gore-House Chainwalker and Figure to the board. They had Mesmeric Fiend to take my Brimstone Volley but it blocked right away. I used it to put them to 4 and passed. They conceded on their turn.

Once again, monored proved to be a very powerful archetype as I was able to win 2-0 every round. Sword of Body and Mind was key in winning the most difficult game in the tournament. I hope you enjoyed this.
