Hello reader's and viewer's! Today is a day unlike any other day. Well no, not really, we have been here before. A few times actually. However! This is the first time that we have been here wearing jewelry, smelling flowers, or beseeching our great great great great great great grandparents.
The very first time we saw each other I was chatting about 4/4 Fliers for 5 and beating down with 2 drop 5/6's. Oh man the good ol' days. That column rode the life of Classic from Master's Edition I all the way up to Master's Edition IV. Man we had some good times, right?
Then the darkness. Those times, not so good for digital card flopping.
Guess what though? The shroud has lifted and the sun is blinding as it reflects off the gangster bling hanging from every avatar's neck.
You want power? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE POWER! Ahem, so sorry for that outburst, super excited behind the keyboard over here. The first whifftacular entry to Vintage is near and dear to my heart. I've covered on this site, just about every build of Classic Oath ( and Classic archetype for that matter) and today we join the Vintage fray with my favorite .green card.
I bought this deck all in with the liquidation of some of my paper cards. As such I decided to buy into the Mana Drain pillar of Vintage as it would be the best bang for my buck, allowing me to start off with a strong base and branch out to other archetypes from there. These articles will be part coverage of the format and metagame, and part blog. I'll be showcasing different decks as I unlock them via store credits or winnings. So that should be pretty cool right?
For those who don't know all that much about the format, or who wanna see if I know what I'm talking about at all, I made a video giving a brief introduction to vintage. Feel free to skip it if you think you got it all down pat.
And on to the four 2-mans I recorded for this entry. Hope you guys find it passable!
ROUND 1
ROUND 2
ROUND 3
ROUND 4
That's it for this week!
Next time we are gonna go fast. Ricky Bobby Fast. On a side note, my birthday is August 9th, will someone buy me a new computer so that my fan doesn't completely drone out the commentary?
Hey guys. Just noticed that dark ritual is missing from the pillars list. It was there when I submitted. Sorry.
@andre
Vintage is exactly the way you think it is. For instance this version of oath cost 1700. Tix. That investment will let me play oath for years with minimal extra investment. U will have to buy some stuff as the meta game adjusts but the good thing is. The meta is cyclical with the best archetypes rotating around on a wheel.
If your tired of oath. Well for 60 more tix you can build storm and try to win on turn 1.
Tired of that? 100 more tix gets you into a minds laver welder deck and /or young pyromancer.
So. My computer won't do the beta client. After the next article we may be only doing txt articles for a little while. But that's ok right? I did those for a while before I even had a screen recorder.

An early happy birthday fellow Leo! :)
Now thats what I call interesting, I wasnt aware of Vintage Masters. The power is looking good, might have to make a come back as well now.
I just hope the new client has stopped killing my pc (causing memory issues) so I can play.
The memory usage got a LOT better in recent builds. Try it out if you haven't already.
