It was the first card I remember giving mill decks a little more to hope for...and as much as I love the winning side of TurboStasis that doesn't really feel like mill.
When I first started playing magic in the stone age of Revised, my first big creature was Force of Nature, always has been and will be my favorite card without a doubt
Nice! the first deck I ever built was a GW deck featuring the predator himself and serra angel to finish the game. I even went so far as to acquire a playest of the "GGGG" FoN from Alpha for style points.
For a long time I was obsessed with Armageddon but I think Living Death has proved to be better for me in the long haul and is really my top favorite of all time. Pretty much since I traded 2 cursed scrolls for one back in the day (before scroll was known to be good.)
Library of alexandria, nether void, serra angel and juzam are also cards I have a very emotional link with, probably because there were staples when I started to play the game.
I had an unhealthy obsession with UB Fae, so much so that I played them when they were bad. Yes, they were at one point when everyone splashed red because of Fallout and Stag. I stubbornly remained UB.
I feel Remand is one of the most criminally misunderstood spells. So versatile.
I also played UG Madness a ton. That deck won me more money than anything else to date.
I got so tired of opening so many Mana Clashes in every core set that I decided I was going to play it (and keep playing it) for as long as WotC kept reprinting it. There was a few year period that I always had at least one Standard legal Mana Clash deck built, some were actually pretty good decks.
My first booster that I opened after a long hiatus from the game was 8th edition where I was lucky enough to open Okk. I got so annoyed that I started collecting them (to the point of taking them from people's trade binders, which they were fine with). I got up around 300 or so eventually.
I'm sure you had a very sic Krark's Thumb/Mana Clash deck during Mirrodin STD.
Living Death - Bye bye Mr. Blightsteel Colossus, say hello to Angel of Despair and Madrush Cyclops!
Empyrial Archangel - Such a big butt. I love big butts, and no sir, I cannot lie.
Duplicant - I am sad to say that I include it in almost every single deck I play. But when I get rid of a Seedborn Muse or Ulamog, it is well worth it.
My all-time favorite creature is Wild Mongrel. He left the door open for tons of misplays by opponents.
My all-time favorite non-creature card is Charbelcher. I played it non-stop in standard and won tons of packs with it.

Not even that close. Sulf Vortex is a close 2nd due to Cube, but Bob is the best card of all-time (for me ofc, not on power-level).

Balance is probably my favorite.
