Tarmotog used the term "Stickies" to describe auras, and I love it. That - plus the restriction of Necropotence in Classic, has convinced my to write about a cool Classic deck centered around Auras, plus some musings on the more interesting options for auras. Things like sticking an Armadillo Cloak on a Calciderm - oh, yes, you can!

Are you interested in the parallel universe in which (Guardian of the Guildpact) reigns supreme? Having heard rumors of this world, Aaron sought entrance into the universe via (Rush of Knowledge) and several expensive guides that seemed to have an affinity for all things metal. If you're interested in the strange world that is Pauper (commons only Magic), look inside for a breakdown of the Affinity archetype, a little strategy and a test spin in the Tournament Practice Room.

The Spell Density of a format is a rough measure of, in that format, how many spells are played per turn, how early those spells are played, and how much of a potential effect they have on the game. Classic is very Spell-Dense. Here, I theorize on what that means, in the abstract, and applied to concrete aspects of the format.
