Welcome to SilverBlack Nemesis Week 5!

SilverBlack Nemesis is a series on Gatherling.com that is based on the Legacy SilverBlack format. Never heard of Legacy SilverBlack? Check out the Construction section! Legacy SilverBlack is a wide open format with a lot to offer. The buy-in price to build a deck is reasonable and there are a lot of viable options for what can be played. Jund, Madness, Mono Black Control, Infect, Tokens, Affinity, Hexproof, Red Deck Wins, White Weenie, Goblins, Elves, Counter-Top, Thopter-Sword... it's all here and viable to play! Legacy SilverBlack may have the widest selection of viable decks of any format. Have an old favorite you don't play anymore because it cycled out of standard or isn't viable any longer in regular Legacy or Classic events? Maybe Legacy SilverBlack can breathe new life into the deck! Check out the Construction section for deck building details.

Construction
This week we threw out all the rules. Any card that was ever printed as an uncommon or common was a legal 4 of.
Last Week Last week cl3m and I split the top 2 because both of us wanted to sleep and it looked like the matchup would take years. Anyways here are the decks:

Featured List:
This week I chose to play High Tide. High Tide is a legacy combo deck based around the power of high tide + Islands + Draw Spells. The legacy version generally kills with Blue Sun's Zenith; for my win con I used Brain Freeze. I chose to play High Tide because I expected a lot of storm and I anticipated being edged in the "mirror" because of 8 main deck counterspells with a bunch more in the board.

Round 1:
I played against Garlan who was playing his take on my buddy Quick's design of Team Italia. Quoting Gerrard Fabiano the original designer "“I wanted to play something different and I like Hymn to Tourach.” The round was quick and pretty much a breeze through for me. While Team Italia packs a lot of disruption it lacks a powerful clock to back it up, I was perfectly capable of waiting it out and comboing out eventually.
Garlan's List

Round 2:
I played against Darunss who was packing an interesting artifact affinity/infect hybrid deck. The idea is certainly interesting, but there were some very dubious card choice that lead to his deck being a little too slow to stop my turn 4 combo deck.
Darunss List:

Round 3:
I met nightmare and was crushed in timely fashion. I played against Niabock who was playing an affinity list that I have no quibble's with any of his card choices. 4! 4! 4 main deck [card]sol ring[/card] assisted him in having the traditional affinity turn 1 vomit more reliably putting me under amazing pressure, too much pressure.
Niabock's List:

Final Round:
The final round was a nail biter. Cippdogg was a player after my heart with my favorite turn 1 in magic in his deck, dark ritual into hypnotic specter. The match up came down to a pivotal game 3 where he proceed to draw far too many lands after bringing me down to hellbent.
Cippdogg's List:

3 Hypnotic Specter
7 cards

Other Spells
4 Dark Ritual

Interesting Lists:
The first list is Quick's Bug Tempo. While he lost round 1 and dropped to head to something he deemed more important, the list still looked solid with a good mix of disruption, clock and CA.
Quick's List:

All the other particularly interesting lists were my opponents so onward hoe!
