Well I do hope to do my fav format justice and while I will be trying to avoid the popular tribes I can't say I'm going to do any of the crazy imaginative things you've done with em AJ lol
Resource denial like discard and land destruction isn’t control. A control deck has answers, resource denial just keeps your opponent from playing. An important distinction for the casual room.
Lava Zombie gets far too little play for how good it is.
Tom Izzo is great. I almost listed him and Calipari, but decided to only list 3 examples. Even if Izzo is better than Pitino or Coach K, I think those 2 are better known to people who do not closely follow college basketball.
looking forward to the tribal series...now if only we can make sure non of our independent decklists overlap lol, it wouldnt do to be elf week or something
Before the comments start coming in there is an error with Contamination that I made a mistake on in another article, but this was submitted/published after I was correct... I misread the card and the ability doesn't produce extra mana it makes lands produce B instead of their original stuff... so I know the mistake is there, I'm sorry for any confusion it may cause, you don't have to waste time mentioning it now :)
ive been expecting a new Sarkhan in RoE since he is one of the three main planeswalkers in the zendikar storyline and we got new versions of the other too. That card sleeve may confirm my wish lol
The dice look like the odds and ends dice I used to grab out of the bins at Gen Con (a couple decades ago) for $1 for a handful. Some of them look quite ugly. :D Over all looks like Gama was a blast. The Spoils cards look remarkably similar to magic cards. Thanks for the pix and updates.
To echo what Orgion said: You can play ~20 games with your deck(s) and then you can write the 5 most interesting ones. Those games will show how your deck is performing, what it is capable of doing, how the cards in your deck are interacting with each other etc... There are even lessons to learn from defeats, so you may as well include a few games you lost.
I'm also looking forward seeing how your decks are performing in reality.
yeah aj has some interesting ones, my favorite that i have always thought of trying but never have is his 'Paladin"/shifting sky deck.

You really need to work on the titles. Couldn't even read it off the front page because it was so long.
Er... yeah, except for that one. Duh.
I enjoyed this article a lot.
My only quibble, which is a minor one: I think most would agree that Bazaar is the best no-mana land over Maze.

Go Team Stasis!!!
*I* am one of those quote 'annoying' players that would adore getting my stasis back.
...my format, lol ill stretch it to ours, Me, you, and sin

but what about tom izzo? he's like the best college coach of the last decade and is certainly one of the best known college coaches.
"the best Magic has ever done with showing one thing turning into another thing in 16 years of trying."
Disagree - Polymorph. Great article as always!
Excellent series. I look forward to seeing what you do with my format with great interest. :D

Just went to that link and Tolarian Academy is on it.
It was a fun ride.

Primeval Light is the ultimate combo for a one sided wrath with Enchanted Evening.
Love how simple and elegant some of the new playmats/boxes are. Great sneak peeks! (And no sunglasses/reflection needed!;)

why did zephyr mage become art for a card sleeve?
Excellent write. I had no idea those game show could be so much fun.
Wow. Look at these negative comments. One bad podcast and you're all "OMG LET'S NEVER COME BACK TO THIS WEBSITE." Babies.
