• What the heck WOTC? And other niggling questions: Why send a PI? Why not just send a representative without a reputation for killing/beating/union busting/being absolute dirtbags? Why confiscate the cards? The damage is already out there. I could see pulling down videos etc, but why take cards that were already legally paid for? Why oh lord (Richard Garfield), why send the PINKERTONS? (also see The Pinkertons) Does the leaker bear any responsibility for this happening? Will WOTC do it again?

Whatcha been playin’:

Paul: Battletech, Midweek Magic: got a great set of cards and went 3-0 with Gruul. Been brewing in Standard (mostly) trying to find a way to make Invasion of Alara work. Stole a deck list from Hogan involving Realmbreaker, Praetors and ioa. Also played the demo of a game called Dark Chess which has some zany rules in place like Fog of War. Got to level 8 before hitting the “Please pay for this game” notice and quitting. The dev is nice and talkative on steam (which is unusual even for one person teams). I might get this game just to support them. It was relatively interesting though the Fog of War changes the game in ways that are not always good.

AJ: Winning the weekend inaugural SilverBlack tribal with Constructs, using Gates and their support. Went 3-0 in MWM with Mardu including the OG Elesh Norn, Realmbreaker and two Ayalas. Dabbled with a Sheoldred-Breach the Multiverse deck in a few formats. Outside Magic, Battletech and the Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog.
