Looking through the skimpy event results available to us, I'm seeing a few of the old "Classic" one hit wonders lately. Decks that have taken large events in paper, but never amounted to much more than a footnote in the online world. Every once in a while they'd pop out and say Boo!, but for the most part, they languished in quietude.

I'm on a bye this week and used the time to tinker with a new control deck I've been working on and which I will detail the evolution of in this article. Before talking about that, however, I preview the final round of CQ League Qualifier #2 and give my Top 8 predictions, along with a couple of announcements.

Riddle me this, Batman! The Sphinx became an iconic creature only quite recently in the life cycle of Magic, but the tribe has produced a surprising number of high-impact cards for the tournament scene. What is the secret of their success?

Last time I was all about the Pyromancer, but there was a missing deck. It was a more controlling deck, but I had to get rid of our young friend so it had no place there. Today I'll show you what it turned into.

Just a few weeks back I was wondering whether or not my words had any impact on the world in general. I no longer wonder. I guess I've started making my mark, then! Woo hoo! I'm not sure that it's the mark I'm intending to leave. I don't think this article starting out so black and blue helps in this regard, but there it is.

With the removal of constructed dailies and the nerfing of release sealed, many players feel that it is no longer realistic to "go infinite" and play MTGO at low to no cost. Those people are wrong: now is the best time in years to try to go infinite playing limited on MTGO. Look in side for an in depth analysis of the great value to be found in one of MTGO's newest limited offerings!
