So, when Phantom Limited Events (combined with ridiculous redemption fees) drop the price of ALL packs to sub $3 levels, where then will limited grinders turn to get value out of drafting in the ever-present and futile attempt to "go infinite"? I'm with RexDart... Phantom Events are the worst idea possible.
Rage quitting is hitting the x so we are the same page. Rage quitting doesn't much help/hinder in Commander (in version 3 anyway) where the /eject command works fine to get rid of the delay.
Conceding to give someone an advantage or to deny someone an advantage is something else and whether it is strategic/smart/etc or just petty/mean/nasty to do is another issue entirely.
Also why block someone if it is just a game? That sounds like an oxymoron. Not blocking people = not taking it seriously. Blocking people = taking offense and taking it seriously.
I mean I totally get why it is upsetting to the person it happens to.
People are STILL rage quitting just before they lose to stop a player from gaining an advantage. I don't miss that at all. Far too many people ended up blocked for that very thing. Seriously, it's JUST A GAME.
@ Doomhed - I have no interest in formats that rotate out/lose value....that is why 'anyone' avoids this...pauper is king. I haven't paid for a tourney online for over 7 years...
I'm glad people seem to be enjoying these! I have a bunch more planned.
I thought of Top 10s, as it's more traditional, but I tend to pick categories that only have 10-30 items in them, and there's not much to say about every card. Just the outliers -- the ones that are in some way good, bad, weird, or historically significant.
I did do a top 15 list in my "bears" article, but there were over 200 to choose from and I never want to do that much sifting again! (Although I may have to if I one day do a squires article like I was thinking about....)
I dont understand how anyone would not buy the duel deck to get their sorins. I am thinking about using them to get a complete playset of tibalts and sorins, not to mention alt ar mortify and others. I want them for standard and modern but I am tempted to just wait and get them after they rotate for modern.
As always, great article. Keep up the good work. I need to set aside some time and actually download the video recording software to get an article of my own put together.

It is never easy to source out street creds. The whole thing is just wide. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack. - James Stuckey
I don't think I understand what you're saying. Why would the price of all packs drop to sub $3 levels?
The guy looks like Thor. It is majestic as well as imposing. - James Stuckey
Feeling joy in pain? Hmm...I think I have to pass on this one. - James Stuckey
The guardians are really menacing. They should look intimidating. That is the whole point. - James Stuckey
Is that cards in the frame? Wow, that is impressive. To many cards in the frame is really good to see. - James Stuckey

Ok, I'm a bit lost.
Is this a thing like Canadian Thanksgiving is different time of year than American thanksgiving, or is this article 6 months early/late?
Fun article though, either way.

Keep them coming! Wish they were top 10 but I understand it would be pretty hard to find 10 of each category
