The crowd hushes to allow the players focus on their picks I wander through the draft pods.  The determination on each face is easy to understand.  There are thousands of dollars at stake, and only one more shot at it after this draft is over.  Once again, as I move through the drafters I see the signs of Alara block color signalling being used instead of adapting to the new Zendikar rules of engagement.  The difference between a deck that switched early and a deck that hasn't is staggering.  In one pod I saw five players first pick a black card, some stayed to fight out the color, others switched early.  Click the link to see what I mean!

And the difference of jumping into the more open colors becomes painfully obvious.

Looking at the draft decks so far, I'd expect Matukaze to do very well in his pod.  We'll see how it pans out!
