ok seriously...great article whiffy, but something needs to be done about the trolls it gets worse and worse every week. Just make people have to at least sign up to post. then if you need to boot them for trolling couldnt you ban their IP address?
I HATERZ YOU WHIFFEHHHHHH!!!!! YOU WROTE AN ARTICALE TAHT IS FEREE FOR MEH TO RE4D AND I DUN LEIKE IT WON BIT!
In all seriousness, although I am late to the party, mr. unnamed sounds like he needs a hug. I would be glad to provide him with a figurative teabag as well.
Keep churning out those articles buddy, always a fun read.
I epic frowned but I can't do anything about it, so hopfully you guys don't bash it to much lol. I should knot be writing articles while under the influence anymore!
I thought you did a good job on this one! It was a pleasure to read, probably could cut out that last part regarding people wanting to beat you in tournaments, who cares about them.
Having played a lot of thresh, I would have kept that hand, definitely wouldn't of played the goose. I would of kept the land open for stifle mana and then Brainstorm at EOT like you said.
The other hand I would probably mull, but I def looked at this one for awhile. You have brainstorm available and you have daze. You could play the volcanic, pass the turn. If they lay wasteland you could play the brainstorm, look at your cards first and depending on what you see, you could then daze your own brainstorm, thus stacking your hand and still keeping your land, plus you have fow/fire/ice back up if you really need so. If that land is tropical instead of volcanic, I might (I said might) keep it. Then again, this is probably why I am not a top player and am still learning everyday.
Yay for anonymous cereal references, seriously Whiffy, the article was overall good, had a few typos. It probably wasn't the best work I have ever read from you, but nonetheless it was something new and creative. It wasn't yet another metagame analysis about decks we all have played or played against over and over again.
I think your next article should focus around making Vampires Classic Tourney Worthy!
That was only because you responed with a post that is going to bait someone into replying in a negative way [saying can't read the side of a cereal box.takes one to see one].
How do you get a 600 card deck to work? I always get a message that I have exceeded the 500 card limit. ....heh, sorry that I am stuck on something that isn't really the point of the article :) I really want to play with bigger decks though.
by all means please give me critisism, you are absolutly 100% correct in regaurds to having an excess in poor articles if constructive critisism was constantly deleteded. However all most all of the comments besides the very first have been an attack at typos and not anything to actually do with the article itself. If you have something to say by all means say it. I enjoy construtive critisism because it helps me to see where I need improvement. On the other hand, trolling the site and nitpicking typos that were in the comments and not an actual part of the article just waste a lot of every ones time.
yours for taking time out to constantly berate someone.
mine for having my buttons pushed and responding to the beration
the editors for having to clean up the posts
and others for defending either side right or wrong.
I understand where your coming from in regaurds to the article. you didnt like it thats fine. you dont like my opinion that fow should be the most expensive classic card, thats also fine, what i dont understand and aparently some other readers (thx TheD.K. and ImpinAintEasy) is your apparent problem with the way I mis spell in a forumn post.
You have yet to provide reasons why you felt it was bad? Just saying the article is bad and full of typos isn't good enough. What did you like, what would you like to see to improve the content, offer him something more than just bashing.
I do not get why stating that the article was not good is construed as abusive.
All writers have to face critics why do you not get it?
If every writer that has had an undesirable critique was simply able to merely have them deleted. The world would have an exsess of poor writing.
The content was not bad, it was informative and creative which is lacking in many articles written about magic. There are always typos on this site, people here do this because of their love for the game, they aren't making a living off the small amount of money they get for writing. So have some respect and say something meaningful, otherwise keep your comments to yourself.
I love how people never sign their name to comments when they are just on a bashing mission. Good article Whiffster. I agree that balance seems out of place and the trinkets do as well. So sad to hear the man that once was on a thresh mission has all but abandoned the beloved for the time being. I will gladly take that torch and run with it!
I agree with LE in regards to the time zones, I'd like to play in the tournament as well. It would be really good if it started on a Saturday after Shards tribal event then I could play both : )

You can't daze Brainstorm once it resolves. Not sure how you managed to think of that.
I think M11 is already locked at this point.
Never heard of any of these people. Community? ok.

My sympathies. I have had the same problem numerous times. The worst are when teh formatting gets mucjed up, and just cannot be changed.
I mean no disrespect to Forsythe when I say the following;
I don't trust statements about future sets until I see the cards.
In fact, I believe it was AaFo who said "green shouldn't get Birds of paradise" only to dee them come back with the next core set.
Also, IIRC, his comment wasn't that they were for sure in M11, but that he very much wanted her to be in M11, and was pushing for it.
But I'm cynical at times, or so I'm told... ;)

Back on topic. I vote for the saturday time slot, unfortunately anything prior to 6pm CST will probably exclude me from competing.

I already stated it was terminaly redundant too long with excessive filler of card choices.

>I don't see her coming down until the rotation, assuming she doesn't get reprinted in M2011.
Actually on twitter some time ago AF has already confirmed her to be in M2011.
sorry guys for the horrible editing, my editing didn't save over when I submitted this for ya so there are a ton of mistakes :-(
Yeah, and I gotta apologize for getting in the middle of things. I should've stayed out of it.
Between criticism and abusive behavior. I will remove abusive behavior (Like I have done already) but I will keep up criticism.
