I believe I came across a similar issue to this in an EDH game recently. The game was able to continue through the use of F6 to autoyield everything: It's worth trying this if a loop occurs in a game you're playing.
First of every has an opinon and your welcome to yours. Last week people asked for a rogue deck i did it. So how about some constructive thoughts instead of calling me crap. Im trying to build a useful report. My match up chart is incomplete now because Ill only use what I consider to be relevant data (PE Data). In the two weeks I have been keeping tract the popular decks are in double digits and are starting to show true numbers. As for Ace of Drafts i have seen im in numerous top 8's and he is a very strong limited player. As for my article i am trying to find template that works and i have not used this editor much so just give me a break. The data is what really maters, I have put alot of time into providing the community with data that will help them in deck and sideboard options. Stuff i had thought they would appreciate.
For the record, I really don't comment unless I have to.
Moreover, it's rarely if ever negative.
However, this case definitely caught my eye, as I was literally struck saying "what the heck is this".
First of all, before I start, I should mention your last article was sorta acceptable. It had a new take, a bunch of new charts, good stuff.
This week was HORRID.
The first section was "hey guys I had an awesome chart last week! and it was right in predicting meta!"
Sure, let's give you this. It's a semi acceptable way to start I suppose...
But then we get to this.
The Second section (dealing with your red and yellow Matchup chart) pretty much said "I know it's pretty bad right now... but you know what... this Chart will get more awesome soon"
The Last section deals with Ace of Drafts, just your average spike who plays in a bunch of PEs (I see him often when I have some time off and grind PEs), who gives a suboptimal list (No offense Ace, but I'm sure you'd agree with this), saying pretty much "hmmm... Tarmogoyf is good, I think storm based combo is relevent" (Cough, by the way... it isn't, at least not until Tempest comes out.).
And then you conclude the article.
How can I possibly keep it classy after reading this article? So I took a look at the word count to see if Joshua was sane.
1400 words... a Respectable count...
That is until you realize 500 of it belongs to "not yet done" matchup chart, a suboptimal decklist, and a MODO player (whose name isn't DRAGONDUNG).
Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have the most respect for anyone who writes. I'm a writer myself when the time is write, and I know how hard it is. Please, for your own sake, check yourself before you turn in an article. Don't let PureMTGO suffer from a half-assed article (and trust me, if you searched deep inside yourself, you'd agree this wasn't your best work).
I think you may have missed Horizion Canopy, that one sees a ton of play, and maybe Grove of the Burnwillows, I think one of those two would have made my list, and maybe Tolaria West as well. Good stuff
Sadly, I must confess to having played Castle Sengir. In a mono-black deck.
It was for flavor reasons though...I had all the other Sengir cards. I reasoned that they really needed a home. And apparently, that it had to be a four-of.
I thought the painland damage analysis was very interesting...not sure what it means, but it's interesting.
The best lands ever are the three color lands from homelands. I think those lands should be banned due to their overwhelming power over the metagame.
Imagine this play, First Turn Castle Sengir, followed by.... nothing i still cant make any mana. Well, i got something cookin, so don't get too comfortable, Mr. Wizard.
Shame on U for promoting painlands over HomeyLandz.
Mutavault will most liekly place at least#2 most everybodiestop 10 for standardlegal lands. The nuts synergy with the top performingdeck, Elves is just nuts. Even the basic Imperious Perfect pumps it to a 3/3.
Another advantage that will vault the Mutavault to top positions is the fact that it comes into play unttaped and ready to become a 3/3 blocker the turn it comes into play. As you said, maybe having both is just easier than picking one.
Turbofog is funny. It turned up at the ext ptq and played against 2 of my friends. Just one note to pple out there. Do not play slow or you'll lose more than you should since you are always doing tons of nonsensical things. For those who want to beat it via damage, make sure you pressure him early when he's developing his board or you can forget about it. =)
Thanks MS, I appreciate your input. Standstill will probably be covered the article after next. I'm cooking up something special with a guest speaker, so to speak.
Hate decks are very hard to play and generally take a lot of preperation before becoming proficient (I guess that applies to a lot of decks though, so, whatever ;) ). But 'hate' decks are especially hard because you have to know the optimal hate plays for each matchup, and you need to know what cards you want to be able to cast first.
Also, it seemed that your mana was out to get you in a few of the games, I counted at least two games decided by incorrect mana, and one where you mulliganed to 3. Is it possible that you're trying to stretch the mana base a bit too much? GG/WW/GW/WB, etc is pretty rough requirements, even with fetch+ravduals. But then again, I don't play extended, so what do I know? :)
Sorry about the bad result, mate. It really is a pretty good meta deck. I tried making a haterator-type deck in my playtest group. It was WGU. U was for Trygon predator, plaxmanta, and Azorious Guildmage. IT played baloth (plaxmanta AND trygon are beasts! Woot!). Also played 3sphere with elves. It was fun. Sorry, your deck just reminded me of it, and I thought I'd share.
Personally, for a Coalition Victory deck I would use Sliver Legion. Like you said, you're opponent can see what you're doing from a mile away. So instead, act as though you have a five color Sliver deck, use fetch spells to get domain, drop the Sliver Legion and then you just need a single 1/1 sliver in play to pop CV out from under the green Hideaway land. I know similar decks have been done before, but it's just a thought.
You actually have to search out 5 cards. You only can fail to search if there's a criterion you need to fulfill (like "cards with different names" or "basic land" etc)
lol.. Nice pile u spotted there. Hmm... I like it alot since you just win out. I might as well put aside the research kill for this and the draco combo. However, there are some benefits from the previous 2 being: research => 1 slot for it in addition to the storm based deck draco=> 2 slots, both of which can be somewhat manipulated with certain cards to "combo" off if the situation allows. I suppose I should sit down and brainstorm abit on how to go about approaching this because the cards are slightly counterintuitive in the deck. I'm still thinking about whether or not the draco should be there. I like storm decks so I'll try to work on it.
On the flip side, doomsday in dragon seems like its going to be real good. Probably a card a dragon player should want at least in the SB in anticipation to discard. Looks like doomsday has found a home somewhere. =)

I'd suggest using less aggressive colors for your chart.
And finally get a grip what is RDW and what is simply Burn (hint: the guy you interviewed played an extended based RDW splashed with G).

Honestly, when I edited the article, and saw the rouge, I was pretty sure he was talking about a red deck. :/
I had wanted to take out the tips on beating top decks as I felt Walkerdog was doing fine with that. Sorry about that.
My bad. Although it fits the deck.
"Rogue" not "rouge". Rouge is french for red.
I think you may have missed Horizion Canopy, that one sees a ton of play, and maybe Grove of the Burnwillows, I think one of those two would have made my list, and maybe Tolaria West as well. Good stuff
Nice article. I had no idea that Tarmogoyf was generating its own buzz.
Sadly, I must confess to having played Castle Sengir. In a mono-black deck.

Very nicely written how about a weekly break down as to what kinda prizes a deck is winning.

In that case, I suggest Basic Swamp as a fifth card.
Really liked the article, since I'm a fan of Doomsday in Vintage. Nice work.

Here's another doomsday package for you:

Worldgorger Dragon
Creature that wins with infinite mana
Animate Dead
