2,769I haven't written about Standard, other than as a side note, for a long time. The last time I written about it was back in the summer of 2013, just before GP Calgary. The last time I played Standard with any regularity was back when mono-B Zombies w/Cemetery Reaper was still a thing. All that changed a few weeks back, when I played in the Khans of Tarkir pre-release. Woo hoo! Standard was going to be fun again!

2,851I checked my Game History on Monday when I was running Overdrive! I see that I last played a game (that I didn't finish) on Sep 17, and a couple on Sep 5. So why does it feel like I haven't been playing for about 2 months when in actuality I've only been "not playing MTGO" for less than a month? I guess it's human nature to exaggerate, but I do see a significant slowdown in my online play towards the end of July.

3,247Riddles was up in Saskatoon this past weekend; the trip I had originally planned on going along on. It's a good thing I didn't. No Magic was played, no Cons were attended, and a mediocre time was had by all. I, on the other hand, made it to both Modern FNM and the Midnight Khans of Tarkir pre-release. Neener neener neener!
