Ha, that's exactly it. I drafted it a couple times, enjoyed it, but didn't play enough to get a real grasp on the format and record it. I even have a couple of MM packs left on my account that I couldn't find the time to draft with. Hopefully they'll be back at some point!
I enjoyed the article! The first version of the deck looks really fun to play. I once went 5-0 with a $2 deck in standard. It took a lot of luck and I am not sure I even won a single game after that.
Update: I stated in the article that I'd be seeing soon how well this deck could do in a league. Unsurprisingly, I went 1-4. This deck is something like Tier 4, I think (is tier 4 even a thing?)... but it's still a blast to play in Open Play matches. Thanks for reading!
Basically, yes, but this was more tuned to look at cards held back by Felidar Guardian. Amonkhet cards never really had a chance to compete against it, so we wouldn't know for certain what would be held back from this set.
This seems like one of those 'looks like X, smells like X, feels like X, but we didn't get the 100% official confirmation so it cannot be X' moments. You had your perspective, others had different. I saw lots of people playing in the tournaments, my twitter was filled with people playing and twitch was filled with streamers.
We don't know how strongly log on rate is correlated to tournament attendance. I find it interesting that they would publish log on rates and not mention tournament attendance.
For all we know, everyone logged on to buy the copycat deck after finding out it wasn't banned.
OK, a case of boy who cried wolf it seems. You did not fabricate MTR text this time, I apologise for the comment.
Will you give me the same courtesy by apologising for the times that you have deliberately promulgated falsehoods on this site concerning the MTR, not to mention the slanders?
I don't think you read the same thing I did. Record number of concurrent players on mtgo does not equal happy customers. (though it is a great milestone)
Do you play 1v1 commander or just multi? Oloro, Vial Smasher, and Tasigur will be banned way way way before Leovold.
Way.

Ah! I was expecting your Modern Masters videos, and you were playing Zelda instead? :)

I don't know if tier 4 is a thing or not, but I used to call anything under a tier 2 deck, tier fun. Shrugs.
It being a blast to play is important though.

Thank you for the kind words!
I thought that this was a fun article, a neat topic, thank you for contributing Anthony!
I figured it might cover some decks that will be more competitive post ban using Amonkhet because they are relevant. But maybe they really aren't?

Honestly I expected some more on the Amonkhet cards here, but I guess there hasn't been enough time for brewers to find the decks?
I admit this may not be the case.
I think I might have been OK with "... so this MAY not be the case." or "... so I suspect this is not the case."

If I had ban power I would have already done it, but I don't so I just stick to editing comments that need to be edited.
Nice podcast as usual, thanks for posting it.

A liar is someone who deliberately tells falsehoods. Michelle has not seemed to do that, so calling her a liar is not a thing to do.

Another lie.
When will this troll be banned? How many more lies and inanities must we endure before action is finally taken against Hearts?
Just because wotc announce something doesnt mean there is substance to what they announce.
Really curious what you think caused a concurrent user record if not the new set...
sometimes I know what I am talking about vaguely :D

That was enough for me to find it.
