Also I like how you can say that a well respected member of the magic community isn't well mentally. Elantris has done incredible work as a content creator, the graphics master behind VSL and the MOCS.
She's visible, and these things have happened to her, yes there is an issue with the toxicity that we treat women with in Magic, and for you to say there is not means you are either willingly ignorant towards the issue, or willingly unable to see it.
I am happy to hear that hostility is not an issue that is the way it should be. Also, I am impressed that you managed to ask "the average crowd". You have a bright future as a survey specialist.
I asked around and, like I said, there is no hostility towards girls in mtg.
The judges do not dislike them (I asked Elliott and Tessitori), wotc doesnt dislike them, players that started in 90s do not dislike them, the pt regulars do not dislike them, the average crowd, not the Hall of Famers either.
Not if they are at all familiar with Heart's insistence on barely reading what's actually being said to them, and ignoring pertinent arguments in favor of their own obstinately held and sometime bizarre viewpoints. An exercise in futility to be sure.
I do not doubt there would be a few that would try anyway because who doesn't like a challenge?
I would definately refer to male mtg players as boys, which I did not and is absolutely besides any point in previous discussion, which makes you a troll.
"They look like something out of a museum diorama"
To me they look more like the interface from an Egyptian-themed mid-90s PC game. Personally, I don't like them - I find them way too overdone and lacking in subtlety - but then I also disliked the expeditions that everyone else seemed to love, so maybe making a visually different card frame that appeals to me is just an impossible task.
I found it amusing that they write stuff like "he has a nice body" and talk about the exact measurement of his peni..... I dont think Reid Duke would find the comments offensive?
So I guess we are getting closer to gender equality when the female players are "misandrist"? :)
Yeah mine is six but I recall when they added 4 digits to the 6 digit ones in an attempt to make them uniform with the rest. Then that got rolled back. Never did get a mpr card.
I think the DCI number thing is more about future integration. I didn't get the impression they were calling this an enhancement for *us*, but one for them. Rumor is it's about unifying Wizards info.
And everytime I see something about 10 digit DCI numbers, I think "wow, I've been playing this game too long." My is 8 digits, and I still have my plastic MTG players reward card with the number on it, though it's quite faded now.
In what way is 'Listening to people who say a given environment can be hostile to them' not sane?
It is actually a bit insane to be of the opinion that the mtg environment is hostile towards girls.

Yeah typically you don't touch other people's property without asking. It's rude to do so.
that's not a sign of someone not being very well, but rather someone that wants themselves and items to be treated with respect.
You just proofed a point there.... but not the one you were going for.
That girl isnt so very well (mentally);
- Don't touch my cards without my permission....

Here is an example of someone with an opinion https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/26smoy/women_and_mtg_how_to_a...

I think a lot of female players would like to educate you differently. Seriously.
I would definately refer to male mtg players as boys, which I did not and is absolutely besides any point in previous discussion, which makes you a troll.

There is no hostility towards whom? Would you refer to male magic players as 'boys', perchance?
That deeprooted stuff you will not find among the ages that attend mtg events.
If anything they will be like giggling and stuff, shy.
There is no hostility towards girls in mtg, not ever.
Since you asked, I was going for a more active role for the community like: the community is not being nice to female players.
- " MtG community is not always nice to female players."
What you mean is that the mtg community is not always nice FOR female players ?
Once in awhile Pete writes about how the MtG community is not always nice to female players.
I saw this thread on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/62j5kv/i_met_reid_duke_last_w...

The mana symbols top right on the new Egyptian cards do not have colors, has that happened before ?
I'm an old timer. Mine is 4 digits. I still have my original hand-written laminated card.
If I recall correctly, mine shows up in the system with 2 zeros in front of it to "make" it 10, though no store has ever had to type that in.
