Evidence has shown me that their usual response to a well worded report is a) thanks and b) eventual action. But I have reported hundreds of bugs over the years so maybe the sheer quantity means I have been lucky with most of them? I don't know.
Yes, it hurts your time, time that you could have spent otherwise.
Reporting it (again and again) does not have to result in one of the two; fix-it or admit it. WotC also practisize other alternatives like;
- lie about it (is nothing wrong).
- do not understand.
- ignore.
- say it is on list of "to do" without knowing if it is on that list.
...probably numerous other techniques.
The alternatives are many for a successful company like wotc, in fact many would point out that keeping their options open is the key to their success.
Well I think the boom/bust brain in a jar combo is the one most people would love to play (Armageddon for 2 mana as an instant? Yes please!) So obviously the Magic Judge chose that one to show but for some reason MTGO does not agree with them. Which leads me to wonder who is right? Typically when I run into this kind of thing it is some weird unintuitive but ultimate correct ruling at work but this seems pretty straight-forward. Maybe they just didn't want people boom/busting all over Juff?
Just tested this out and you're right, it's not reading them correctly. Cascade is still working properly and according to rulings I've read online, that's exactly how BiaJ should work:
I've had a lot of fun with some of these. Magus of the Wheel alongside Nekusar, Karlov in everything from 'All Ghost Council all the time' to 'Fun for the whole family', and you've seen the shenanigans I did with the Scourge. A word on Gigantoplasm: The effect doesn't end. You pump it, it stays pumped unless you choose to set it lower.
Brain in a Jar works great with all the various fuse cards. Sadly it does not work so well with the split cards. It ignores the halves that do not compare correctly to the cmc expected. Finding that out the hard way made me very sad indeed as I had a wonderful tribal wars deck to take advantage of the synergy.
As I understand it (and please do correct me if I am wrong), When B/E starts to resolve and is on the stack, if Emrakul goes into the graveyard, it's trigger goes on the stack on top of B/E and your graveyard gets shuffled before you can put a creature into play.
I've had games where a skullwinder allowed me to offer an opponent a trade where we each got something we wanted back, without being obviously aligned against anyone else. The trick is to do it with someone who either won't be able to take maximum advantage of the trade off, or find someone who is not in an aggressive position and do it with them. Maybe convincing them that the card YOU are getting back is worth casting again for their benefit too.
Well, if you replace companies with judges you pretty much have the truth there.
The truth that is that a vast number of volunteer judges on many different levels have earned wotc like 700 million dollars over the 20 years they have run PTs/GPs/reg lvl.
WPN wouldnt be possible without the super nerds of our community - the judges.
For what you know those people may not have a contract for doing anything else than providing the practical things for the GP (rent, carpets, tables, lighting, food, etc).
It is still completely up in the air who is the to, and to make the point crystal clear; it is nowhere defined or promised by wotc what a "TO" exactly is in the first place. (Does he have authority over the judges f.ex. ?)
WotC hold all the cards, and they havent ever defined or explicitly explained an inch more than they (feel they) have to.
But this might change now, with the judge lawsuit.
On mtgo it is like this;
Talk in support channel on mtgo;
me; *complain about something*
orc; there is nothing wrong
me; it is, terms and agreement says so
orc; no, code of conduct / terms of use do not say this (both linked)
me; do you have a history of previous versions of Terms of Use ? how many times it has been changed... and what was changed...etc
orc; We do not. That is our most up to date terms of use policy.
me; ...
They can change stuff overnight(i guess ?) and we cannot see previous versions - is that even allowed ?
It pretty much leaves the user powerless...
Sounds like Harmonic Sliver has been fixed. From the WotC weekly update: "Cardset | Creatures that have been given an enter-the-battlefield trigger (such as many Slivers) once again trigger that ability as they enter the battlefield." I was also the one who reported the Phyrexian Devourer bug, so glad to see that fixed too.
You said youd never seen/heard of a TO for a GP. That link presents you one. Unless you believe face to face (a legit store) is LYING and is in COLLUSION with Wizards??
I recongise much of what you say, but what do you know ?
Do you know the contracts between the various "TOs" and wotc ?
Just because we dont see Mark Rosewater or Scott Larabee around when at GPs in Lisbon, Miami or the South Pole doesnt mean that it isnt wotc that is the TO.
What you write is an assumption, a pretty reasonable one if it wasnt for that we are talking mtg and wotc. And when we talk mtg and wotc I choose to not be much reasonable and certainly do not assume anything, and in addition I put a question mark with everything.
That company is completely crazy !
Not ONE GP Ive been to have I heard; "the TO for this gp is...".

I don't know. But it can't hurt to report it again and again until they either fix it or admit they haven't a clue how to.
This is a typical MtGO bug. A weird special case which was not caught in testing. Was it bugged already, or should I report it in the current Beta?
MTGO is in the wrong here.

This example seems pretty clear but maybe Pete can confirm it for us? In the meantime, I think I'll see if I can get them added to the Bug Blog?
Thanks Paul

Because the resolution of breaking/entering happens simultaneously. Emrakul's trigger goes on the stack only after the full spell effect resolves.
How do you cast Emrakul off of Breaking/Entering?
As I understand it (and please do correct me if I am wrong), When B/E starts to resolve and is on the stack, if Emrakul goes into the graveyard, it's trigger goes on the stack on top of B/E and your graveyard gets shuffled before you can put a creature into play.

Speculation is claiming that the numerous different companies that run magic events are all secret fronts for WotC with nothing to back it up.
The Vip plans are a super racket!
Just have to laugh about the vip packages they try to shove onto the players at these events, it is stupidity incarnated.
Yeah, i pushed a link or two on that site and it sure looks like they are goona do more than serve food.
