When you started to play Magic did you buy a deck right away or did you start with bunch of commons and uncommons? In this era people often skip deckbuilding and go right to playing. I'd like to remind you what deckbuilding can teach us.

Ever wondered what a Death and Taxes deck can actually do? Did anyone tell you that this is a control deck and you did not believe them? If so read my story how I picked up this deck, tried to understand it and played with it to find out that I actually like this deck. That alone says something about the deck's type if you know that I'm a control player at heart.

Delver of Secrets was a card I hated because it made my favorite card - Jace, the Mind Sculptor - unplayable. If I were to name one thing I don't like in Magic, I'd say Delver of Secrets. The card changed all formats. It dethroned control decks, forced them to be more proactive and made the metagame more dependent on 'time'. The temporal aspect of the game is way more prominent than it used to be. 'Delver' decks can be anything from aggro to control and this brings us to roles.

After revisiting my decklist it was time to try it out. Vintage players do not have the luxury to play anytime in a League as other format players can. So I had to try my luck with a scheduled event instead.

The past two weeks were full of paper and online Vintage for me and I came to realize a few things that I would like to share. Some of you noticed that for P9C I misbuilt my deck. It is good to know that my deck wasn't optimal but not as important as knowing why it happened.

If someone would approach you and ask you 'Why don't you play Vintage?', what would your answer be? Some players do not play Vintage because it is not their format of preference but many player never even tried finding out a bit about the format. There are many misconceptions about Vintage that makes players avoid the format. I'd like you to know that Vintage is a Magic format as any other and there is no need to fear it

What is the worst way of losing in a game of Magic? In my humble opinion, the inability to cast a single spell ranks among the first places in this category. I would like to share some thoughts how to reduce this ridiculous but omnipresent situation by achieving the optimal consistency.

Czech Republic might be a small country, but with big names in the Magic community: Lukas Blohon is certainly one of the names you should know. He beat Owen Turtenwald in the last Pro Tour in Sydney and is now on his way to the top. Soon after PTEMN, he top8ed GP Rimini. When he came back I interviewed him.

Do you like comes into play effects on your cards? I absolutely love them! They just only have one sad fact in a form that it comes as a one time benefit. I wonder what would happen, if there could be done anything about that little flaw. Introducing Roon of the Hidden Realm.

Here is a funny analogy my friend came up with: Lands? Lands are like friends: if they don't show up, you get sad. If there are plenty, you get annoyed, but if your opponent starts to mess with them, you get outrageous!
