Sebastian's to Magic Online brought about many shocks. There was a new thematic color, Tempest had just come out, and Pauper had become a format! Quick to jump on any format that costs pennies to play, Sebastian brings a deck which he feels should be in every testing regiment for this newly supported format.

With NIX TIX, Tempest drafts are profitable, especially since a lot of drafters are overlooking some good – albeit subtle – cards. I’ll share some of the cards that should be going a lot earlier than they do, and some techniques that have earned me a bunch of packs.

Years ago, CounterSlivers was one of the best decks is Extended, and it was a pure joy to play. We are one set short of recreating true CounterSlivers in Classic – we need Crystalline Sliver from Stronghold – but it might be possible to rebuild it in Pauper, now.

December 19th rolled around, and the DCI failed to act on anything in regards to the Banned and Restricted list. Is the format as healthy as they are trying to make us believe it is?
