CalmLittleBuddy had some time on his hands waiting for prices to drop on the new Fate Reforged cards. Idle time makes for bad choices. Does playing in a Pre-Release Competitive Event help prepare for a Standard Grand Prix? Couldn't hurt! Also, there's a few new decks in town, which strangely look a lot like the old decks. Crack open a cold booster and come along! DON'T MISS THE TEN EVENT TICKET DECK BUILDING CONTEST!!!

In the second half of my article, I offer detailed summaries of the remainder of my games from my ZZZ Swiss Draft. Did I manage to make up for my early mistakes and achieve a skilled performance, or did the play mistakes just keep coming? And did this Pauper manage to string 3 wins back-to-back and sweep the tourney, or did my final efforts come up short? Come check it out...

Four Walkers in a tub. Who do you think they be? Chandra, Liliana, Jace and Bolas, ok I'm not really a rhyme master but this is the deck that I'm working for M14 Super Summer Standard because I want to play a deck with Mutilate, Farseek and Aetherling.

The Chainsaw Massacre event series underwent big changes which are recapitulated in this article. A New banlist is a big part of the changes. I'll talk about tutors to show you that context is important when evaluating a card.

Vintage is where Magic theory gets pushed to its most abstract and most extreme. Card advantage is not as obvious as commonly thought, but compared to tempo it is rather simple. Nothing shines a light on what tempo means in the game of Magic like Workshops, a deck that makes a convincing argument that something like Thorn of Amethyst is as fundamental a effect as things like Lightning Bolt or Ancestral Recall.
