Hey. Grapeshot is used by playing a bunch of elves, then using the Birchlore Rangers to make Red (basically tap 2 elves to generate 1 mana of any color to make a red).
Neat article! I have a few questions. In the elf deck, how is Grapeshot used? I missed something on how to get the red mana? Also I am curious on how to see the Sam Black deck. Is there a way to find that to look at it? Thanks a bunch!
Excellent article! Until just before reading it, i never had the slightest interest in singleton formats, but i just threw together a UW deck and played my first 100-singleton game ever just a few minutes ago. What a fantastic format!
Trinket Zoo, Dark Zoo, Classic Zoo, NoStick Zoo, Domain Zoo - it's really cool how you can do a diffent flavor du jour and still have a competitive list to keep people guessing about the lists.
The core is 4 Ape, 4 Nacatl, and 4 Goyf. Removal, disruption, splashes, and alternate win conditions are so wide open (dependent on an expected metagame, of course) as to make for a fun deck building process. Thanks for the coverage!
I have done some research and the Anon person is BLADE. Blade I am sorry that I have not mentioned that you were the first to make Top 8 with the belcher deck and I am sorry that I did not give coverage to you latest Top 8 with the Glimpse Elf Deck. I will be sure to Gush about your next Top 8 and give your achievments the credit they deserve. Sorry for these oversights and thanks for your insightful comments.
Research tells me that you are Blade. Sorry that I have not mentioned that you are a skilled belcher player and were the first ?? to make Top 8 with the deck. Sorry also that I did not give coverage to your recent Elf Top 8 - It makes sense that both your comments are belcher related and sorry if you are bitter that I have not given you achievements the credit they deserve. Ill be sure to gush about your next Top 8.
Thanks for the useful tips. This crash is something I will be prepared for in the future. It is great to receive support and advice from other Puremtgo writers. Thanks guys.
If you have a problem with me writing these artilce I would like you to out in public rather than posting an anon post. You also wrongly commented in my previous article too so I have to wonder if you are jealous of me writing here and wish it were you. As it is I dont say that Mikeman was the first the only player to run ETW - i just state that this version runs ETW. There are several versions I have seen in non tournament play that does not. No where do I state that non ETW belcher decks have made TOP 8. If you find the statement ambigous then I am sorry - But as already stated due to a massive corruption of the article this version had to be corrected in a short space of time for which I have firstly apologosied and stated that the article is not as polished as I would have liked. I am sorry that you feel the need to nitpick and hope next time you will do so as a logged in user and in a politer manner. Good Day to you
Yeah no doubt. My main thing with Zoo was that it has to weaken its deck in order to get the 4-8 cards that blow up elves.
That is, if you were following how the deck was developing leading up to the PT, people were cutting mogg fanatics and seals to strengthen the deck with other powerful stuff.
While that may be a basic thing, it's not a blunder. I notice you didn't state your name? Detailing that it has an alt-kill (although his statement that "that version" ran it was kind of silly, sure) is not something that should make you quit reading an article unless you're a stuck up jackass.
You can point out failures in logic without being a jerk.
If you want to get credit as a metagame reporter, and the way you are writing these articles you do, try to avoid blunders like this:
"His version runs the alternative kill of Empty the Warrens which dodges Pithing Needle and gives the opponent the possibility to play around Countermagic."
Any solid classic player will tell you that right from the start there has not been even one version of the Belcher deck in a T8 without EtW, and probably wonder if it is worth reading the rest of the article because either you are lacking knowledge or much needed depth and reasonable care.
Zoo has as good removal as you do for elves. You have 4 1CC cards that will kill an elf, 8 if you want to count shard volley. They typically have 6-8 cards that will blow up elves on T1, between moggs and seals. That's not to say you don't have a better m/u against Elves, just that Zoo has the same ability to answer on T2 as you.
Which site are you referring to? You should be able to download the MTGO client and put your credit card directly into MTGO which is 100% safe unless you have a virus on your computer
I have often had this happen, and it appears to be a caching issue somewhere. Rebooting my machine does not work, but logging on ising another machine over another route often finds the complete article. (e.g. if I wrote it on my decktop connecting via DSL, I connect via my laptop via public WiFi.) Not perfect, but it beats retyping articles.
Of course, sometime the article is just gone. I try to remember to do a CTRL-A, CTRL-C and save the whole thing to a Word do, or equivalent, before saving or submitting. Not perfect, but it is better than having to rewrite the whole thing.
Hi Guys. There was no error message, it appeared to save fine and I got to the url confirmation screen. When I then checked the artilce the corruption had occurred. I have never been able to get the backup feature of the editor to function - Maybe this is just me. Now I go to the Source and copy paste it to wordpad on a regular basis which is fine now that I know the editor is prone to failings I will be better prepared from now on. I really enjoy writing this and the feedback here and in client has been great. All the Best U_T_H

super cool!! i wana see more of this!!
But if you're weakening the best deck (as many feel it is), and it's still the best (which some people feel), it's ok.

I use google docs to write my articles, and then just paste them over, format, and submit. I haven't had any issues yet.
