When this happens do you get any sort of error code? I thought this had been fixed with the "new puremtgo" but it seems it isn't totally fixed. Also make sure to use the backup feature often. Sorry this happened to you and great article.
i've had multiple times where i finish writing the article and click article done and submet and when i click on the link to proof read and see if i linked cards right, the whole article is gone. and i know how you feel about being discouraged after it happens
This article does prove that I have a lot to learn about the Bant shard. I have been sticking with the shards that actually have removal and will definitely admit that I didn't know what I was doing when I was drafting. It lead to some sub-par picks.
I did have a few moments in game where I saw the power of the shard and hopefully using everyone's advice and this experience will lead to a better draft if I do it again.
The origional decklist as played by lsv was posted in the Top 10 decks to beat supplement which accompanied last months artilce and the link for that supplement is http://www.puremtgo.com/articledisplay.asp?AID=1257
Hope this is the information you are after. Thanks again and good luck
After having just learned of PDC this week and having built about 8 decks, this one is my favorite. I haven't managed to run it very well, but now I have a better idea of how to play it and what the metagame is like in PDC extended. Thanks for this awesome deck, and thanks to the entire PDC community for existing--you make it possible for knuckleheads like me to dabble in sets and mechanics we never would have considered otherwise by removing the financial wall, yet retaining competitiveness and rewarding clever deckbuilding and skilled play.
Ok I have worked very hard to repair the artilce. I know it is not perfect but given the events I am happy that I can bring you this article. Hopefully next months will go much smoother.
Sweet article, JPLiberato! I've learned something about current PDC Extended and really enjoyed the reading. I just wish we could have some GMT-friendly Extended event - I like Extended more and more. Goob job.
p1p1 Agony Warp is the pick, but whatever, let's evaluate the rest of the draft based on the Angel. p1p2 should be Druid of the Aenima, but I can accept Squire. Battlemage is after both of those, sigil blessing, and frankly, about 3 other cards in the pack p1p4 take the vigilant bear. Most bant decks willl only splash blue, and you're not very heavily commited yet. Could easily splash angel with a pair of panoramas, and I'd have the rgw elf here promoting naya anyway p1p5 just take Mostodon. it's 5 power for 5 mana, and if the trample is VERY relevant even if you stick in Bant p1p6 Jungle Weaver. This guy is the nuts and should make your green deck every freakin' time p1p8 woot. you should have 3 mana elves at this point, looking at a 16 land deck, which will be nice p1p10 take the cycler - you *should* still be looking at naya
p2p1 Ambusher > fatestitcher p2p3 mostodon #2. you should have 3 mana elves and 2 of these guys by now p2p5 panorama p2p6 squire. you should only have 1 blue card you're pumped about at this point, why take a 2 drop with blue in it? p2p10 cylian elf
p3p1 o-ring o-ring o-ring... not even close p3p2 skeletonize. you should have mana elf, and look to pick up a naya panorama if you can p3p3 branching bolt p3p4 panorama p3p6 court archers > * p3p11 jund panorama
Daze is a fantastic card in any format that doesn't include SoloMoxen. You know, like classic. Even then it'd probably be ok, but it's overshadowed by other free spells like Unmask, Massacre and Misdirection - none of which are online.
Daze is so good that is takes up a spot that is often otherwise previously reserved for disrupt. Very likely it will also takes spots away from Spell Snare and even counterspell.
PRJ - all your lists are 5-6 years old. Missing the Fastbond connection for Gush and instead concentrating on old-school tactics like Stasis is dating yourself to ages that have been long since forgotten by much better deck design. And it's defintely of little value to those who'd instead like to learn about classic. While Gush is ultimately the stonger of the two cards, as the many other classic vets have noted, it's not immediately going to make a splash in Classic. There are places where it can go, and I can't see it NOT being used, but at this point, Daze will be a far more utilitarian card.
The editor just ate 2/3rd of my article. I had saved it in pre-proof reading stage and it look great - I changed out a few typos resaved it and bang 2/3rds of the artilce vanished. I simply dont have the time to repeat the work as it was literally hours of work lost, and now the community wont get the information or the continuity this article series was hoping to bring.
Iam really annoyed right now - has anyone else had a similar problem with the puremtgo article editor.
After proofreading I submitted this article as done, and some sort of corruption occured where over 2/3rds of my aritlce was lost to cyber space. I simply dont have time to reconstructing it as it was literally hours of work with deckslists etc. I am very annoyed at the moment that this content wont know reach the classic community. I have no idea why the editor corrupted my work, I had successfully saved the pe-proof read version and everything looked great. I changed out a few typos and submitted the article then went to check it and only 1/3 remains!
Has anyone else had a similar problem with the editor>?
Nice article on what is quickly becoming a favourite format of mine.
Does Ham really only play 34 Lands in that mono red deck!?! I think I need to learn more about S100 land bases and mulligan decisions if that is the case!
Draft Better! You know I love your work. I've already commented at your main site on your picks so I will just support your work here and say keep up the great posts and please, please, please give Bant another shot soon! I love this shard!
My only gripe is the decks seem to have a definite lack of newer cards. Such as the RDW lacks Figure of Destiny (which is without a doubt a mistake not to have) and other newer red cards.

Enjoy reading UTH.
and by the way, the orders were great to be sideboarded out, it was the worse card in the deck.,
Heh im the dao_phu user. I was testing some ideas with the lark, unfortunatelly you still lose to faeries =(
What about Murderous Redcap or Puppeteer Clique? The persist on these two will have it go back to you instead of the other player...

He couldn't attack with Phage in said game because his opponent had multiple Condemns. He would have killed Phage before damage was dealt.
