4x's are okay for some cards, but probably not all of them. Remember, we're aiming for a "precon" feeling here, not a pre-built PDC "contender" deck.
The deck is already "weaker" by being commons only. When you make restriction on the 4x limit you are just making the deck even weaker. See my deck example on the perspective of a new player: He sees creature interactions, mana acceleration, land destruction, pumps and red removal. It is a lot of good info for a newer player and it is a competitive deck.
A 4x deck usually make the new player understand the concept of defined strategy in deck building.
I leaned a bit more towards red. Basic sligh strategy. I tried to stay away from too many Mogg Fanatics and Lotus Petals as per the instructions. Ive got a felling that these decklists are not going to differ very much, the construction constraints are pretty limiting. Good luck to all.
I was trying for a simple precon feel, while maximizing both the Slivers and tappers plus Seeker of Skybreak theme. I was also aiming to keep it relatively balanced with other precons - a deck with 4 Kindle, more aggressive creatures and 100% fewer Rootbreaker Wurms is probably better. Also, if the other Tempest precons do not run artifacts, Cloudchaser Eagle might be better than the random Disenchant.
Deck Name: Should be "Tapdancing Slivers", but I like "Sliver me Timbers!" better.
Ack.. U're right.. That's a big mistake there.. the value of that helm in singleton would be reduced abit but even so, it's still a 2 card combo (leyline n helm) with the pieces costing 4 each. This would probably mean a shift from my intended "white game ender" to a "black game ender" which may actually make mono black a strong strategy with maindeck leyline together with cards like necropotence?
The idea is to use lotus petal as a LD acelerator, you have elvish fury, kindle and fireslinger as creature control. Aftershock is a very strong spell in this deck. The name was based on the haste creatures and fast LD :) (How I wish winter´s grasp was commun =( )
Question: Can I submit more than one deck? Can I make a 5 color´s sliver?
So....you said PDC but since it's a precon, does it have to be Tempest only? or any (online, obv) set? How about promo online stuff....i.e. 'guru' basics (that would be sweet)?
This is a card that interests me. For those who do not already know, it combos with Leyline of the Void and Wheel of Sun and Moon to deck out the opponent. Having maindeck graveyard hate as a combo kill is not a bad idea. It easily fits into decks that need a kill condition and can easily go into a white deck which has Enlightened Tutor to find both pieces. The best part about this combo is that it does not rely on creatures and that makes it very hard to fight unless you have specific cards. It's at least a random Bribery which can be returned by Academy Ruins."
Wheel would not work with this... although it would cause an infinite loop tie I guess.
Lash Out was much better in an environment with lifegain where going to the dome was often the wrong call. Now, with both Riftwatcher and Tendrils out of the picture, doming it is probably going to be more important, rending Lash Out less utile.
The first and most notable thing about this article is that it is way to short. It took less than five minutes to read it. There's just very little content here. I'm sure more people would love to hear about your tournament, the structure, the regulars, more details about the decks played, but...they just aren't there. Maybe recap a match or two, talk about which decks have a chance and which don't, make an argument and defend it, something! Give us more to read!
Also, your spacing is off in the interview section.
So what does G/R have over mono-green or mono-red? Are Nactl and Rip Clan Crasher strong enough reasons to dip into the second color?
I disagree with you on the burn spells. Sure, there's nothing like Skred (the most expensive 1-mana removal spell ever!) in Standard after the rotation, but a wealth of good burn is one of the things that distinguishes Lorwyn/Shadowmoor blocks from previous ones. I think Puncture Blast takes Skred's place well enough, and Shard Volley and Lash Out have their uses too.
After seeing this deck do so much damage in Classic, I took another look at this article. A very good breakdown of the deck, and a good alternative to a deck that wants Force or 'Goyfs.
Way to go! When I first read about Sanity Grinding in the sortable spoiler I thought it was pretty amazing, as far as mill goes. I thought it was a reliable mill for 20 too. I'm glad someone looked carefully into it. I'm not this thorough when thinking about cards myself.
I've always loved milling decks, so this one was fun to follow. I might tend toward the counter-style build, but both seem interesting.
I run a fairly competitive extended deck based on milling with glimpse the unthinkable and controlling the board. I think you could make a very interesting extended deck with the base of this combo, adding turn-two possibilities with glimpse, meaning you have to hit fewer of your combos. Maybe I'll play around with it.

Since its a PDC, it touches on that, and the likely aggresive nature of the deck.

Hey man, I'd love to have a look at your Extended list if you don't mind posting it?
